Since 2008, Matheus has been the head of the tax department of renowned São Paulo firms.
His deep knowledge of accounting issues and academic and professional experience in the United States enable him to work on complex tax issues.
Fluent in English and Spanish, he works in both tax consultancy –tax advisory and tax planning - and tax litigation – at administration and judicial level.
Admitted by the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB/SP) and having passed the New York State Bar Exam, he was Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the Graduate Tax Program at Georgetown University Law Center (GULC) in the USA, Washington, D.C., and, since 2017, he has also been an Examiner at Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT), United Kingdom, for the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT), Brazil Option.
Leonardo has more than 15 years of experience in renowned law firms in São Paulo and New York, as well as in an international audit firm ("Big 4"), having previously been a partner responsible for the Tax area of a prestigious law firm in SP.
Admitted by the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB/SP) as a lawyer and to the Regional Accounting Council (CPA) as a certified accountant, he served an Administrative Tax Judge of the Court of Taxes and Charges of the State of São Paulo (TIT/SP) from 2014 -2019 and at the Municipal Tax Council of SP (CMT/SP) from 2017 -2020.
With outstanding academic work, he is the author and coordinator of 17 books, he has more than 100 articles published in Brazil and abroad. He is a professor of the B.A. in Accounting and MBA in Tax Management at FIPECAFI Business School in SP, as well as an invited lecturer of several MBA and LL.M. courses in Brazil (in São Paulo, Vitória and Porto Alegre cities), being recognized and awarded with 5 international prizes and scholarships from the International Bar Association (IBA), Transnational Taxation Network (TTN) and International Fiscal Association (IFA).
He is also constantly lecturing at Conferences and Seminars in the country and abroad, especially in the United States and Italy.
Fernanda has always worked in the tax area, having been part of traditional law firms and a large business group holding with operational branches in several segments. She has been coordinator of tax, judicial and administrative litigation since 2014.
Specialist in taxation by INSPER (LL.M.), she has extensive experience in tax matters, notably judicial litigation, is fluent in English, approved by the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB/SP) and is a member of the Brazilian Institute of Tax Law (IBDT).
