For more than 10 years, Matheus has been the head of the tax department of renowned São Paulo law firms, with a total of 20 year of professional experience as a lawyer. His experience with accounting and international matters enables him to handle complex tax cases. He holds a J.D. from USP (University of São Paulo), with Post-Graduation in International Tax and in Tax Law from IBDT (Brazilian Institute of Tax Law), as well as an LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law School (GULC), with certification in International Taxation. Also, he has successfully passed the New York Bar Exam.
Leonardo has 15 years of experience practicing law in SP and NYC offices at renowned law firms and in "Big 4" auditing companies. He is a former Administrative Judge both of State Tax Court of São Paulo (TIT/SP) and São Paulo City Tax Council (CMT/SP). He is a professor of the B.A. in Accounting and MBA in Tax Management at FIPECAFI Business School in SP, as well as an invited lecturer of several MBA and LL.M. courses in Brazil (in São Paulo, Vitória, Porto Alegre cities). He has currently written 17 books and has more than 100 published articles, in Brazil and abroad, being recognized and awarded with 5 international prizes and scholarships from the International Bar Association (IBA), Transnational Taxation Network (TTN) and International Fiscal Association (IFA).
